Security Policy

As a member of security, you are held to a higher roleplay standard. As such, instances of LRP and violations of the character guidelines will be treated more severely.

General guidelines for all security positions are as follows:

  1. You are expected to function as a counter to criminals, antagonists, and all kinds of ne'er do wells.
  2. You are expected to follow Corporate Regulations when feasible, though alternative punishments can be applied within reason.
  3. Hardcore torture, MMI, or borging require explicit OOC consent.
  4. The head of your department is the “Head of Security”. If the captain demotes them, you are to remember that you work for the department, not the Head of Security.
  5. Crew life is valuable and you are expected to take the actions that will put the crew in the least amount of danger when dealing with threats.
  6. Being given the green light for lethals does not give you the permission to field execute someone.
  7. You can roleplay as a corrupt security member, however, do not use it to shut down roleplay or create a toxic environment.
  8. You are not to ignore antagonistic behavior that is a threat to the station.
  9. Understand Permanent Mechanical State.
  10. You can leave the station if there's a threat out in space or lavaland.
  11. Regarding Contraband: Barring picking it up mid-fight, security shouldn't be using contraband, unless the alert is DELTA.
  12. These principles are to be treated as OOC guidelines. Violations of these guidelines will result in corrective action by staff.
