What is a Nova Star?

Stars are players that were eligible for, and passed, the Star Application. Star Applications are processed by the Warden of the Stars.

Stars are held to an overall higher expectation of quality and roleplay performance than Crew.

Nova Stars are an additive force. They are Players who add to the Community and Gameplay experience in exchange for access to unique Game Server and Discord features.

Anyone who was previously enrolled in the Veteran system automatically became a Star when these reforms were put into place on 14/7/25.

Nova Star Application and Membership Requirements

To Be a Nova Star...

* You must have a minimum of 300 Living Hours.

* You must have no recent major bans. Notes or records concerning toxicity or low roleplay quality count harshly.

* You must have familiarity with Nova Sector & SS13 Roleplay Culture.

* You must be prepared to complete an application and follow additional rules.

The average Star...

* Has an extended play record

* Has good writing quality and personality

* Has good roleplaying skills

* Avoids major administrative action

* Adds to the overall Community experience

* Understands and helps shape our Community Culture

* Utilizes their feature access for Roleplay, not Mechanical, advantage

A Nova Star Must Remember That…

You volunteered to be placed under additional scrutiny for access to features.

This role comes with heavy expectations to conform to Rules, Policy, and Character Standards.

Other Crew will be able to see your Nova Star status in your OOC notes under Character Inspection. There is not a way to get around this.

Permanent bans will result in the revocation of your status. Poor or hostile reapplications will be barred from reapplying for six months.

You have to include a bastardization of 'Moonridden' as part of your application, to prove you have read the details. Ex: 'Goonridden'. Be clever.

Nova Stars Policy

Community

1. When you interact with others on our platforms, you must be positive, additive, and respectful.

2. Toxicity, bad faith behavior, rage-baiting, and other intentionally anti-social trolling is not tolerated.

Game Server

1. Do not abuse the power provided by your Star status to tip the scales of any large engagement, event, or fight, **unless** you are putting your full effort into your roleplay quality.

2. Do not misuse or abuse the tools or powers given to you by the Stars system. Keep with the spirit of the feature's design, and policy if it exists for it.

3. You must add to the overall gameplay and roleplay experience. This means creating opportunities for, and respecting, others roleplay.

4. Station characters must have at least Minimum Records.

4.1. There is a grace period of one month for Records Template expectations, due to start 14/8/25.
