<font size=+2><b>The Most Important Head a Chimera has is ''YOURS''</b></font>

There is genuine Evil in the Universe, citizen of the stars, and it haunts each and every one of us. Sinister pirates, taking what is wrongfully theirs. Mindless Space Dragons, scorching their way through unnatural habitats. Terrorists, who value ideas over lives. Slavers, who value lives in a strictly monetary sense. Entire industries drawing profit from taking your destiny out of your own hands.

When you need someone to stick their neck out for you, why not ask one with necks to spare?

=Chimera, a Galactic Peacekeeping Initiative=

Danger lurks around every corner. When you're in the unknown, there's no need to go it alone. Chimera offers numerous security packages for every scale of customer, from planetary defense platforms down to a little Chimera Scout helping an old lady cross the street. There is no job too small, no enemy too big, for Chimera to handle, so long as what's Right needs our Might.

<!--nah I don't like this bit, maybe there's something workable in here. <s>We're not terrorists. A '''Terrorist''' would have solved the Rigelon 5 Slaver Crisis with no regard for the soldiers at play. Ruthless killers would have boarded the station, gunned their way to the vault, armed the self-destruct, and sabotaged their escape pods to land them in a combination jail cell and executionarium. Only once the main combatants were dead or attempted to flee would the self-destruct be disabled and the vilely imprisoned released. And as you all know, that's not what '''Chimera''' did. Let's break down the '''Chimera Way''':</s>

-->You may know us from:
* Rigelon 5's Slaver Crisis <!-- I don't remember this being a reference to anything -->
* Extermination and Rehabilitation of the Pirates of Tarnoonga <!-- A reference to the greatest cold open of any show of all time, https://youtu.be/_7h7_d2BUtI?list=PLm02c2iNm9Q-auRScScVNUwdjLfU_nNVY&t=10 -->
* Numerous rescue and refueling missions across the Orion Spur <!-- that's our setting, remember? -->
* Most notably, our present work in the Nova Sector, protecting [[Lore:Nanotrasen|Nanotrasen's]] own Frontier Stations from threats external and internal. <!-- if you don't get this reference, bruh -->

==Chimera, a Beast with Many Heads==

'''What is Chimera?''' Take a quick look in a mirror, and there's your answer. Chimera is each and every one of us, the desire to see wrongs and right them. Chimera is of the people, ''for'' the people, and as long as that drive lives in the hearts of any who have been wronged, Chimera will endure.

Starting as a collective of strangers united solely by their connection to Tarnoonga's seedy underworld, the first ten Heads quickly grew to a hundred, a thousand, as word of their valor and mundanity spread. When anyone can be a Chimera, everyone can pitch in.

Employment with Chimera comes with several guarantees: A respectable paycheck, {{TooltipInline|two non-lethal sidearms|Disabler and Baton for now.}}, a bunk in the Corporate Barracks, and the knowledge that you are fighting for what's Right in the universe.

==Chimera, a Beast with Many Mouths==

You, citizen of the stars, can walk into any Chimera branch and place a request for aid, and Chimera is devoted to helping right every wrong in the Galaxy. However, the sad reality is that with a thousand heads comes a thousand mouths, and as much as every Chimera Head is a valiant volunteer fighting the good fight, they do have their own basic needs: Food, shelter, a ship. To that end, attaching a small reward -- nothing more than you can afford, of course! -- to your aid may find that request answered sooner. Idealism and practicality rarely share the same path, and at Chimera we are doing our best to walk the line between them.

To that end, we offer '''Corporate Security Contracts''', in which Chimera will enforce [[Corporate_Regulations|''your'' laws]] in ''your'' domain on ''your'' dime. Rest assured that your need for a night guard is directly supporting the active War on Evil elsewhere in the galaxy, as opposed to your other options, including ''death camps'' and ''executive bonuses''. At Chimera, there ''are no'' Executives, as every soldier is a Head.

==Chimera, a Beast with Many Backs==

Are you looking to do some good? Perhaps you're looking to atone for something in your past. Perhaps you need a reliable job and you're built for dispensing peace. No matter your stature or good standing, so long as you're with Chimera, you're with the forces of Good.

Chimera is {{TooltipInline|legally recognized by <s>SolFed</s> ''Over Fifty Regional Authorities'' as an '''Act Of Public Service'''|We comply with SolFed's guidelines in numerous ''proposed'' bills of what an Act Of Public Service should entail.}}, and as such, we have the right to deduct hours of service from any criminal charges you may hold under any SolFed member's laws. In keeping with Chimera's beliefs, we ask of our former criminals:
* '''Renounce your wicked ways''': Publicly denounce your former crimes as the atrocities they were. To your former criminal contacts, help us convert (or bust) them from their own ways.
* '''Work on bettering yourself''': Self-improvement comes from hard work, not from death experiences or fancy words. Apply yourself towards not just fixing others' wrongs, but correcting the ones you've made. We understand that some things are irreparable, like, you can't give back years of someone's life you've taken, but you can ''try''. Successfully undoing your crimes is ''not'' a requirement for Chimera employment, but attempting is.
* '''Be a paragon of the community''': Be someone your former criminal colleagues can look up to. Show them that most people aren't irredeemable, that if ''you'' can pull yourself back to the path of righteousness, so can ''they''.

==Chimera, a Crusade Summarized==

That's Chimera at her heart, people with good in their heart willing to do the unflashy corpsec jobs to foster the battle against True Evil in the universe. Folk who ''want'' an unflashy corpsec job because their skills are in violence but their interests are in not dying in a pointless war. Folk who ''need'' a better path in life. Folk who ''signed an employment contract'' and then ''chose'' not to quit their job.
